This is a picture for the cover for my graphic novel MFS / Moisture, Frost and Salt.

Combing through the archives there was a time when Black Lives Matter was a movement still limited to the underground and was somewhat ignored by the general public. This was taken in 2016, long forgotten as a piece of history. Today this scene would seem foreign – insulting, almost. There’s hope that the gentleman in the photo is finally pleased that his effort has not gone to waste and his message is finally being heard.
